Hey everyone! My name is Megan, and I am from Galveston, Texas and my major is Marketing. In my free time I love to read, hangout with C@T friends, and figure skate.
When was the first time you connected with the club? What was your initial reaction?
My first interaction with C@T was when some upperclassmen visited my dorm on move-in day my freshman year. I was so touched that people wanted to meet me and invite me to C@T events! They even brought me cookies… major selling point! It was nice to know a few familiar faces before I went to any of the Welcome Week events.
What exactly did you like most about Christians at Tech that led you to join the club over a number of other things? What surprised you the most or made you the happiest about joining C@T?
I loved how open, friendly, and welcoming Christians at Tech was. I never imagined that this club would also be how I met my best friends! Getting to be a part of C@T really shaped my college years in a way that I’m so grateful for.
What are three benefits you’ve experienced as a result of joining C@T?
1) A stronger relationship with the Lord
2) A group of friends I can always count on
3) A great community.
How did/does knowing Christ and pursuing Him with others in the club help you?
It has been so awesome to have a group of companions to pursue Christ with during my college years. School and life can get crazy but being surrounded by those who always lead you back to the Lord is such a blessing.
If you were to recommend C@T to your best friend (or any interested student), what would you say?
Even if you are nervous or shy, go to one event and I promise you that it will be SO worth it! Looking back, you’ll be so glad that you did. I know I am.
