Hi there! I’m Maya Grace. I am originally from Houston, Texas. I am an Education major focused in Middle Level English. I enjoying writing letters, road trips, and running!
When was the first time you connected with the club? What was your initial reaction?
The first time I initially connected with the club was at orientation. From our very first interaction, there was something different and so genuine about each one that I met at the booth. Then, throughout the summer, there was a GroupMe to read through John. The GroupMe really touched me. I thought it was so neat that there were so many college students reading the Bible together. Incoming freshman and current C@T students would post or share what they enjoyed from the Bible. Each message was so encouraging and really made my heart happy. Then, meeting everyone the first night of Welcome Week at a Volleyball event, really just hooked me, haha. In my entire life, I had never met such real or genuine people who loved little college freshman upon meeting them for the very first time.
What exactly did you like most about Christians at Tech that led you to join the club over a number of other things? What surprised you the most or made you the happiest about joining C@T?
I really loved that Christians at Tech was centered around the Bible. Reading the Word with so many college students was so encouraging. Before coming to college, I’m not sure how much of the Bible I had really read. However, when reading with others and fellowshipping over the Word, the Bible became so real to me. It wasn’t just a book, but the most wonderful ‘Divine Romance.’ The Lord became a loveable person through His Word and each time someone shared what they enjoyed from the Word, He became a little more real and lovely. I think what made me the happiest about joining C@T was the ‘instant family’ I became a part of. Christians at Tech became my home. Each year, the entire C@T family has become more precious to me. I can’t imagine spending my college years with anyone else other than Christians at Tech.
What are three benefits you’ve experienced as a result of joining C@T?
1) Getting to know and love the Lord.
2) Companionships with those who love the Lord’s Word.
3) Being a part of the awesome C@T family.
How did/does knowing Christ and pursuing Him with others in the club help you?
Knowing Christ and pursuing Him with others is really the most wonderful experience. It’s really sweet to be continually built-up together with those who are pursuing the Lord. Whether at Bible study, Solid Ground, or girls retreat, reading the Word, singing, or talking to one another fills you with Christ! At times, you may be having a hard day, whether it’s a test grade or other various situations, but as soon as you see someone from C@T, it’s like your heart gets infused with instant happiness. By being with one another, it’s almost like we get to see a little more of Christ.
If you were to recommend C@T to your best friend (or any interested student), what would you say?
Spending my college years with Christians at Tech have been the best years of my entire life. I wouldn’t trade any of the experiences or moments I’ve spent with C@T for the world. If you only had the option of making one key decision throughout your college years, consider choosing C@T. It will probably turn out to be the best decision of your life.
Describe C@T in 1-2 words.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I think all the students are really grateful for everything y’all have done for us to reach each one of us where we are!
