I was an agricultural communications major and just graduated in 2020! I’m from Pullman, WA. I really enjoy doing anything outside including running, playing sports, skiing and snowboarding, hiking, camping & pretty much anything like that. I also love crafts and DIY projects, especially if it involves pallets. I also really like animals, coffee, naps & spending time with people I love!!
When was the first time you connected with the club? What was your initial reaction?
I first connected with the club at RRO and I really don’t remember much about that, but then I got added to a summer GroupMe where we did a Bible reading challenge and I thought it was really cool to see other people my age reading the Bible, especially during the summer! Then when I first moved in, two girls from C@T came and visited me in my dorm room. They ended up hanging out with me for 2 hours & that was when I knew I found my college family!
What exactly did you like most about Christians at Tech that led you to join the club over a number of other things? What surprised you the most or made you the happiest about joining C@T?
One of the biggest reasons I liked C@T so much was because of the Bible reading challenge that leads you through the entire New Testament during the school year! I also think one of the things that drew me in was seeing how much everyone loved Jesus & I knew I wanted to know Christ in the same way. One of the things that made me happiest about C@T was that I found companions to pursue the Lord with!
What are three benefits you’ve experienced as a result of joining C@T?
- I found my Christian family
- I gained a much deeper appreciation for the Bible
- I learned lots of practical tips to help me in my walk with the Lord!
How did/does knowing Christ and pursuing Him with others in the club help you?
Knowing Christ & having companions to pursue Christ with is crucial, especially during college! Christ is so many things to us & during my college experience, knowing Christ helped me learn that I can lean on Him and trust Him in every situation. Life isn’t always easy & sometimes we’re drawn away from the Lord. But companions hold you up and help bring you back to Christ when you don’t have the strength.
If you were to recommend C@T to your best friend (or any interested student), what would you say?
Christians at Tech is a place where you will find a Christian family to love, support & encourage you through your college career. You will be surrounded by people who love Jesus and are pursuing Christ together.
Describe C@T in 1-2 words.
