Hello everyone! My name is Heather, and I grew up in the north Austin area and am currently studying accounting and finance! Some things I like to do is play golf, read and play the piano!
When was the first time you connected with the club? What was your initial reaction?
I got connected to the club in the beginning of my freshman year. Upon meeting some people in the club, I was impressed that nobody was too cool to talk about Jesus!
What exactly did you like most about Christians at Tech that led you to join the club over a number of other things? What surprised you the most or made you the happiest about joining C@T?
I was drawn by the overwhelming love of this community. Everyone loved getting together, whether it was getting lunch together, going to the park, or even just hanging out! In joining C@T, I am so surprised that the people I am around really love reading the Word together and make it seem so fun!
What are three benefits you’ve experienced as a result of joining C@T?
1) Enjoying the Word of God like never before
2) Having a 2nd family
3) Getting connected to mentors who desire to see me grow in life
How did/does knowing Christ and pursuing Him with others in the club help you?
Every person’s sharing of their enjoyment in the Word is SO VALUABLE. I’ve learned that an open ear to the truth from anyone spending time in the Word goes a long way
If you were to recommend C@T to your best friend (or any interested student), what would you say?
I guarantee you that Jesus is way better than what’s on your mind right now…not just in college, but for the rest of your life. How is that possible? I guess you’ll have to come and see 🙂
