Hello Everyone! My name is Claire. I am from Plano, and I’m majoring in food science with a minor in chemistry. I’m usually either doing school, working out, caring for my plants or cooking (hence the food science).
When was the first time you connected with the club? What was your initial reaction?
I connected with the club during Welcome Week of my freshman year, and it just seemed like that’s where I was supposed to be, as corny as that sounds.
What exactly did you like most about Christians at Tech that led you to join the club over a number of other things? What surprised you the most or made you the happiest about joining C@T?
Joining the club was an easy choice because everyone was welcoming not just to get another person in the club but to get to know another person to pursue Jesus with. The authenticity and joy that the club had really made it a seamless decision that I didn’t have to think about.
What are three benefits you’ve experienced as a result of joining C@T?
I’ve really gotten an amazing community of people pursuing Christ which I had never truly experienced before. As a result, my relationship with Jesus kind of exploded and I’ve gained a lot of peace from that.
How did/does knowing Christ and pursuing Him with others in the club help you?
Knowing Christ and pursuing Him with C@T members really has put me in a good place to fully love Him and not just myself. Being around others pursuing the same thing makes me feel like I am a part of something so incredible and meaningful which is the pursuit of Christ.
If you were to recommend C@T to your best friend (or any interested student), what would you say?
I would tell them that it really impacts you in a genuine way and leads you further to Christ which is something we all need.
