Hey everyone! My name is Ashley and my major is Kinesiology. I am originally from Houston TX. My hobbies include working out, going to concerts, swimming and doing almost any outdoor activity. I love being in the Word with my friends and family!
When was the first time you connected with the club? What was your initial reaction?
The first time I connected to the club was at orientation before my freshman year. My initial reaction was disbelief that a group of people could be so nice and inviting.
What exactly did you like most about Christians at Tech that led you to join the club over a number of other things? What surprised you the most or made you the happiest about joining C@T?
What I liked most about the club was that all of the teaching was straight from the Word. What surprised me the most was the numerous opportunities to join a small group, home group and/or weekly events. What made me happiest was that there are so many inviting people who wanted to have a friendship built around Him!
What are three benefits you’ve experienced as a result of joining C@T?
1) Reading the word every day,
2) More peace when stressful situations arise
3) A group of friends who support and encourage me.
How did/does knowing Christ and pursuing Him with others in the club help you?
Knowing and pursuing Christ with people in the club helped me by giving me peace with knowing His plan is greater and that to do His will means sharing your knowledge and experience with others.
If you were to recommend C@T to your best friend (or any interested student), what would you say?
If I were to recommend C@T to someone I would say, “The club focuses on gaining knowledge about the Lord from being in the Word every day. They provide ample opportunities to share your takeaways from the Bible, fellowship, and just have fun with genuine people! They are truly the nicest most encouraging people you will meet.”
